23 and 65

Well, 2023 came and went far to quickly but at the same time not quick enough. I can honestly say it was not the best of years for many. I had so many items on my get it done list for 2023, the plan was to build the business so that at 65 I could retire from the day job and work for myself. However after a review at the end of the year, I have found other than clicking post on this site, I have not achieved much. This needs to be rectified as 65 is suddenly very very close, so I have made yet another list LOL, I like to make a lot of lists, but often lose them or better yet ignore them.

One thing I plan on doing this year 2024 is my 65Y blanket. I am sure most of you have heard of temperature blankets. I am going to make a mood blanket. I have the moods and colours picked and delivered. The logistics did take me awhile to figure out but I think it will work. I created a spreadsheet for the year and marking each days mood. I will post more about it in a separate post.

Some of the other things I would like to accomplish this year is add a section to this site showing process of my work, maybe the odd short tutorial for people who also wish to try their hand at fiber arts, maybe even a members section for special tips tricks, coupons and freebies. That will be only if there is a large enough interest. Another is to find more fairs to attend, I would like to meet my customers and some of my items would be very expensive to ship so a fair would be ideal. I’d like to sign up for some conventions but they really cater to more gaming oriented art. Which brings me to another item on my list of to do’s, do more of the fantasy I enjoy. I also need to get that darn online store up and running.

I have big plans for the year, as I am only giving myself this year to get it together. Mainly because my day job will come to an end and I do not wish to job hunt at my age. Hopefully Twenty four is kind. And if you have any ideas on what you would like to see from my art, drop me a line.
